project: life

yay! i love this process..... all of it. but i love the fact that sometimes i have worthwhile things happen. like when we went to carmel for our anniversary! and then while we were there he asked me to marry him! if i didnt have a scrapping medium to document that moment it just wouldve happened without any fun techniques and thickers.... everyone knows how much i love thickers and page protectors, all kinds of layers... i love layers, clothes, paints, paper and pages.... eeep! so here you have it ladies and gents.... my project life style

redesign

I finally had enough time to sit at the computer and finally get out my idea for my blog header.... I wish I had illustrator?

but its basically how I would want it done professionally. So its better than nothing, and i have the warm and fuzzies for it since it was made by me... go me!

happy first Monday of fall feeling weather.. i hope you had a great weekend, mine consisted of new projects, that i will post about soon. I also tried to play catch up with project life as much as i could handle in one sitting. I have finally finished august, I even got to tackle the dreaded engagement page. but its done; phew and now i only have a month and three weeks of catch up.... cross your fingers i can get two weeks a done a night and be caught up when November finally comes. I also got bk to sand down one more of the dining room chairs. whoop. one painted, two sanded, only three more to go. I'm crossing my fingers that the weather stays warm enough for the paint to dry outside on sundays; seeing as the only time I have to do 'em.

Its insane to think that October is almost over.. over.. the holiday season? the shakes of nervousness in sue. just breathe

are you excited for the holidays?

what did you do this weekend?

Queen of bad timing

Why is it that as soon as you have an idea or inspiration for a project (art or otherwise) you don't have time to do it ? Or is it just me? Either way it's really starting to frustrate me, I know I have to make time for things of this nature (art/painting/scrapbooking). But it's summer and as much as I'm about to complain, I love the fact that we constantly have a birthday party, dinner date, people over on any given weekday night...

But how to do find a balance? When do you say no to having a friend over to work on a painting? Practice using the Camera ? Or trying to learn a chord progression on the g-tar?

I am just so overwhelmed by everything that I want to do ... That's the hardest part to swallow for me..l I want to do these things... Not need, but really really want to... I wanna paint a picture for the dining room... I want to catch up on project life, seeing as how I'm only on the second week of June... I just want to get caught up... I want to paint dining room chairs as soon as the table comes in...I want to hang pictures, just got the hooks from amazon...l want to .... I want to learn how to use the camera bk is letting me use for so many things... Landscapes, living, non living things, hair, editorial things... Wants.

We had a class at the salon Monday morning (yesterday) that was very inspiring and made me want,to do so much more. A stylist from a salon from Reno came to show us her submission that she submitted for a bumble and bumble and W magazine contest. She was one of the six semi finalists. But man. It made me want to get into more editorial work. Even if it's just for my own entertainment!

Here's the hair that I did yesterday morning

Mid year resolutions: 2013

I have so much new found inspiration (from the new high ceilings; I hear they promote creativity; which i am not opposed to) and happiness now that we are getting things put (up and) away at the new place. I want to do so many things. Here's the long and short of it.

-Catch up.
-Learn. (x2)
-Enhance.
-Polish.
-Read.

Catch up- on my scrapbook; I love project life. I love scrapbooking. It's one of my favorite things. Gotta get caught up...I'm currently way back on the last week of may. Gotta find some time to get some of these past weeks done and be caught up.

Learn- how to play guitar... Music is my first love. Its magical, and everything beautiful. I have always been drawn to. I'd have be the only thing I would eat/drink if I could find a way... But I don't have rhythm some never picked up an instrument really... I played clarinet for a year in third grade, but then switched to flute, played for three years... But I wanna learn to play guitar. Just to be able to strum a chord progression outside. Make a little ditty out of nothing... Makes me swoon just thinking about it...

Learn- how to Properly use a camera... I love and live with a photographer, I love pictures, I love memories. why shouldn't I learn how to use a camera properly and enhance all three of my loves ? My thought exactly, no good reason not to. So boom. Get that started once bi gets his camera back from the shop so I can stop using my poor excuse for a camera known as an iPhone 4. The sad sided that is, my current point and shoot is worse than my phone... Whomp whomp

Enhance- my painting skills. I always wanted to be good at something. Doesn't everyone? I mean I'm good at sleeping, but that's not fun and only I can enjoy it .... So I love painting, so I'm thinking about looking into a class into honing my skill.

Polish- my skin.... I can't even remember the last facial I had. I need a peel like no ones business... I want to be better at taking care of my skin, it's the only one I get :)... So work on my regimen, is going to be one of my new top priorities... Calling it a hobby makes it seem more fun than a hassle in my eyes :)!

Read- more of my books on my 30 before 30 list.  I've gotten distracted in the past couple months. Stupid k dram's... Why do you suck me in? Why do I spend hours of day/weeks/mo s dedicated to watching you? Why must you be adorable and horrible at the same time?! Anyways. It's time to get my reading back into the major form of entertainment... Especially without having cable now is the time before bk gets his direct tv back on for football season...

So there's the goals and aspirations for me for the rest of the year. I am so excited and ready to start getting this ball rolling... Do you have any mid year resolutions? Goals? Hopes? I'd love to hear and help in any way I can

"It's just...

One of those days... That a girl goes through" -Monica

And I couldn't be happier for salted Carmel cake pops on this type of day...

Heres a couple of the other things that made me happy this week:

The relief of knowing that we have our new apartment, getting the keys, and doing a walk through; it's all real and now!

My new washi tapes collection that I got for my project life

And my adventurous water for trying sheeps milk cheese, and veggie empanadas at dinner last night

This im looking forward to:

Getting to sleep in our new apartment for the first time tomorrow night
Getting to delve deeper into the packing process this evening
Getting to start unpacking tomorrow, it's my favorite thing: organizing
Getting a chance to get to the farmers. Ariel Sunday morning / after the cable guy comes
Getting to do my first load of laundry/dishes. (huge sigh)

The thing I'm not looking forward to, but I know my other half is stoked for... Getting to eat pizza for dinner for the next three evenings; let's be real. Delivery pizza is easy and quick, and the best meals for packing moving, especially with reserves coming to assist

I hope everyone has a fabulous first summertime weekend, drink a cocktail for me, go to a picnic tell me how it is...

Do you have any tips or tricks for packing that I should know?
