I knew i would want to make a wedding blog in some shape or form; i just didn't know when i finally got to get married that the content would make its own blog on its own... so I have decided to still keep this a personal blog with wedding tidbits and posts, keep it about the pretty little details things that i can't live without and the craftiness of the things and projects to come...
and start a whole new blog about the logistics and the construction/demolition of the wedding elements... trust me it needs more than a blog... so stay tuned with both blogs to get the nitty gritty... and most likely see me ugly cry a couple of times.. hahaha
if you can't tell I am so excited to get married, I want it right now... but everyone tells me it goes by so fast, so why not make it last forever? thats what we were thinking... so the link is below, come share our journey with us, and we become one and take on a whole new slew of things... hope we can survive ...come take a looksee at the joint (thats right, Bk will be taking part, kicking and screaming) effort:

(it goes live tomorrow, one year exactly till our wedding)
Thursday, September 18
Saturday, September 13
t-minus one year and six days
holy moly! I can't believe Im getting married in 371 days! I wish it was tomorrow... my bank account and credit cards on the other hand probably wouldn't mind a couple more years to prepare.
So a lot has happened since the last attempt at a blog post. So much has been decided but at the same time nothing.. I know I said earlier that I didn't want this to turn into a wedding blog; but then I got to thinking; this is the only chance I get to get married and think about it; letting the thoughts that have been stewing in my brain out; so they make sense and work with other thoughts; and discuss with people gather opinions; (granted i have no readers); but maybe i will meet some other soon to be or wives that have felt the same things I'm feeling, dealt with the same concerns/issues, and have some ideas and helpful tips along the way...
so heres to the happiest year of my life; I can't wait!

my happily ever after: the venue
well I am happy to report that we have actually been looking into the venue... its happening! so here is where we stand right now in the venue category of the choosing of the every last detail.... all i can say is thank goodness i have an outlet to write down and actually get my thoughts out of my head and somewhere i actually see them, and they don't disappear...
location one: Elks Lodge Tower.

Capacity: 250
feel: open classic old ball room
feel: open classic old ball room
Thoughts: I went and saw this beauty last thursday morning with my mom. I first saw a window display of the ballroom (if thats what you wanna call it) out one night earlier this month. wrote down the website, and made an appointment... Looking on the website, and seeing the pictures had me a little discouraged, not going to lie, this is a big deal and honesty is the best policy. So sadly I went in with a little bit of a disposition. Once i walked into the massive open space my shrugging shoulders couldn't be raised any higher. The room is gorgeous, massive and surprisingly warm and airy at the same time, there are two massive balconies on both sides of the hall. there are numerous large windows, and it being on second floor gives us the chance to open them. sadly the view is nonexistent but we have to decide if that is important. I love it.. its beautiful and amazing and a tad gaudy which i am all about and its gold, and princess esque... we could have a good time there for sure.
location two: beatnik Studios

Capacity: 150-200
feel: industrial, art gallery, open
feel: industrial, art gallery, open
Thoughts: oh man. Where to begin? I loved the venue, I loved the feel of the space, the brick accent wall, Elisabeth; the lady we met with for the initial meeting. She was wonderful, A ray of sunshine, easy to talk to with warm eyes, that made me feel safe, and not stressed, insightful and everything I needed. Granted it was the second venue we've seen but in my mind it's a strong contender. And all upfront no hidden fees is a plus for sure. i love that it is one big open room. but I also wish there was more... I would still like an outdoor area
location three: The Antiquté ( need to make an appointment ... update later)
website
feel:
location four: Flower Farm
website
Capacity: 240
feel: bed and breakfast
Thoughts: I liked the concept of this wedding venue. I love the idea of having the ceremony and a cocktail hour outside and then a reception inside a "barn" reception hall.. sadly the things I didn't like about the venue out weighed the things I did like about it. I loved the idea of having a few rooms to stay that night and then a big catered farm house breakfast in the morning. Thats about it. oh and the bocci ball court. i liked that.... so i can say that sadly this place is a definite no. But I'm down to look at more similar venues .
location five: McKinely Park Clunie Building (also need to make an appointment ... update later)

The Sunday skinny: May 25th 2014
Tuesday: yoga bright and early at 6 am. Still so in love with it and the fact that it's a physical activity that we do a couple. but man oh man, Yoga is so hard, so so hard. i feel defeated during and after every week. I keep hearing people tell me "it takes time...", "it'll get easier...", "you'll get more flexible..." . Will I? will it? I am very impatient and i don't like failing... so ay, theres my tuesday.
whatever excuse I make up, I'm still gonna go, I'm still gonna push myself, and try my hardest. especially on the classes where its just me and bk with our personal yoga instructor. today was awesome, I will definitely be in some pain tomorrow...
(and then there was silence for the rest of the week)
gross... i know
I can honestly say this week was deplorable. I failed so hard at fitness in any sense of the word...
but i did make it to yoga on tuesday, and she kicked my ass so bad that i was in pain till friday... but the good pain, just the stretched out tight feeling.. i feel horrible about my lack of commitment but this week i tell ya, i will back to it... and get on track... promise (to myself most)
